In June 2017, I took a calculated risk to speak up about being harassed by an investor while fundraising for my company. At the time, there were very few precedents for speaking on-record. I felt strongly that the amplification of my story by a national news outlet might draw more attention to an important and usually overlooked topic.

My story was published on the front-page of the New York Times. It was read by millions. In an instant, I was born an advocate.
